2019 Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Mother’s Day is coming up, so I’ve generously gathered all of the best gifts for her (read: selfishly made a wish list to publicly share – HINT HINT).

If you haven’t seen my post on the best gift of all – a FabFitFun subscription – be sure to do so if you want a discount code!

Beauty & Fragrance

I will always recommend a fragrance because they are luxurious, expensive, and if done right, personal. Matching a fragrance to a person really shows how much you know them. My absolute favorite scent is Jo Malone’s Peony & Blush Suede. You can’t really go wrong with any of her scents and, on occasion, Nordstrom will host bottle engraving to make this extra special!

Drunk Elephant, one of my favorite skin care brands, just released a kit called Get Even. All of their products are fantastic, but this kit is a highlight reel of their best items. What a lovely way to prep her skin for the summer!

Mother's Day: Skincare
Retails for $100

Y’all, mama is tired. Help a sister out and get us some rockin’ coverage concealer! IT Cosmetics makes one to fit all skin types and keep your under peepers hydrated.

Mother's Day: Concealer
Retails for $26

Clothing & Accessories

A treat that I look forward to, yet don’t indulge in enough, are new pajamas. Comfy, cozy, luxe pjs are an amazing way to drift off to sleep! These would pair great with a sleeping mask, new book, or slippers!

Kate Spade is making new bags called make it mine. The idea here is that you can change out a “flap” to create a whole new look for much less than buying a whole new bag! You can personalize with tassels, flaps, and/or charms. Of course, I love the Minnie Mouse option.

Retails for $258

I know this next item is not for every woman, but I love a hat that’s extra. Extra large, floppy, and boisterous. This Amazon option is adorable and inexpensive.

Mother's Day: Floppy Hat
Retails for $20

Home & Garden

I love a good candle. I love most candles and have featured them in gift guides before. Because they can seem a bit generic on Mother’s Day, a pretty and practical oil diffuser is a better option. Add some customized essential oils to the mix (and maybe a glass of wine and take the kiddos to the park?) and this is a thoughtful gift that’ll last forever.

Mother's Day: Oil Diffuser
Retails for $35

Quirky home accents are always fun and you can put them together to mix and match with other items. These dish towels seem appropriate for the day!

Mother's Day: Dish Towel
Retails for $20

A little luxury in my life is a nice bath towel. I love the whimsy of the tassels on this one. Because we live close to the beach, I would also suggest a beach blanket!

Mother's Day: Towel
Retails for $14.99
Mother's Day: Beach Blanket
Retails for $50

What We Really Want

All we really want is TIME. The gift itself is lovely and thoughtful (especially when it’s made by our babies), but pro tip: we don’t want to parent, make a grocery list, cook, clean, shop, or think. Pamper us. Let us sleep in. Send us away for brunch with our mom friends. Leave a mimosa in the fridge. Book us a massage or facial or pedicure or lesson that we’d never book ourselves.

Is it ironic that we want time to ourselves because of the small demon loves who made us mamas in the first place?

Perhaps.

But remember – Father’s Day is coming.

Make good choices,

C

  1. As a gift stylist, I am always looking for gift ideas to shop and share with others. The “Hello Sunshine” floppy woven hat would make a great gift for mom, but a better present for me! LOL
